This working meeting will be held in conjunction with the European SKA Design Studies (SKADS) program. It is designed to foster close links between international SKA and SKADS engineering, and between SKA science and engineering in general.

All members of the SKA Engineering Working Group (EWG) and its task forces are urged to attend. A large contingent from the Science Working Group (SWG) is also expected. All SKADS engineers and astronomers are invited.

Themes of the meeting include:

  • Refinement of the SKA system white papers preparatory to an external engineering review in early 2008
  • SKA cost and performance estimation imperatives
  • SKA Reference Design optimization and associated risk management issues
  • SKA Phase 1 science and engineering issues
  • Progress in SKA demonstrators and key technologies
