RQZ and Regulatory Issues Monitoring (Disbanded)
The protection of the radio frequency spectrum at the SKA candidate sites is of utmost importance.
The task force studies all aspects of the prevention of harmful interference for the SKA, and other radio telescopes, through regulation (spectrum management) and the establishment of Radio Quiet Zones. This includes work done at the International Telecommunication Union’s study groups and working parties on the international level, but also work at national level within the two candidate host countries.
