Shared Sky at Jodrell Bank, UK
This summer a subset of the SKA Shared Sky Exhibition is hosted at the University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, featuring celestial artwork by indigenous artists from South Africa and Australia, where the Square Kilometre Array will be located.
Children and families will be able to make their own artwork, explore the stories of the remote regions that will host the Square Kilometre Array telescope and get the chance to meet some of the scientists and engineers who work on the project.
Children’s art session runs from 10am – 5pm daily (closed from 1pm – 2pm) Children’s story time is at 10.45am and 2.00pm daily Meet the SKA Expert is at 1.00pm on Wednesday 5th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 27th August.
